I have been researching my family history for some years now and would welcome any assistance from anyone who thinks they may have links to the Mackenzie family from Lochbroom or the Brown family from New Pitsligo and Rathen in Aberdeenshire. On Fiona’s side we are also looking for the Scott family from the Cabrach and Macpherson’s from Glasgow.
I’ve uploaded part of the family tree on the Rootsweb site so please feel free to have a look ; Mackenzies of Lochbroom
The photo to the left is of my great grandfather, Murdow Mackenzie, a blacksmith at Rosehall, Sutherland, probably taken in the 1920s. The others in the picture are sons, Angus and Roddy.
